Don't send me contest invites. That's the worst way to go about getting me interested in your contest. One, cause I'm usually busy and two I often check out these kinds of things to see just who else the person has noted and have noticed a trend. It seems folks will only note good or popular artists. There's..no way to type that and not sound like I'm going "HRHRHRHR GUESS WHICH ONE -I- AM!" What I mean is if you've been here long enough you tend to recognize a name or two after a while but anyway, I digress.

:/ If you're seriously hoping to do a contest and are not trying to get free art from good artists, don't just note good artists, if you MUST note folks unno.. maybe... just maybe you should send a mass note to your watchers? Considering they'd probably appreciate the idea of winning your art in return more than some random person.

Also.. contests with dev subscriptions as the first prize, Let's do the math. Three months subscription is $7.95. Most decent artists are doing commissions no doubt that range from 25-50 bucks. And higher still.What you're hoping to do is get x amount of free pictures and one you payed about 8 bucks for. You're not fooling anyone.Now contests aren't meant to cater to everyone, but come the fuck on.

Personally, I think personal contests are usually best for folks who have an interest in you and your work. At the very most a journal with all the information lain out will do. If folks are interested, they'll come.
